Painting an entire house can be stressful! When we first moved into our home about three and a half years ago I was a

So I bring bring to you a list and description of all the paint colors in my home:
Reticence

The paint for our living room, dining room, and hallways takes up the majority of our home. I had found an image on Pinterest that had this beautiful paint color and I was determined to find that exact paint color. After lots of samples, I chose Reticence from Sherwin Williams. Like all paint colors, Reticence looks different in different lighting. In natural lighting, it looks closer to a gray or a very light taupe. At night, it gives off a full taupe color. It’s a lovely color and keeps my home looking bright and airy.

Temperate Taupe

The kitchen was a space I really struggled with choosing a paint color. Our kitchen has the most natural light in our house so I wasn’t afraid to go too dark in the space. I wanted to switch up the color in the space a little bit but still wanted it to be neutral and pretty. Temperate Taupe from Sherwin Williams is what I chose in the end. Ultimately, I added a board and batten wall (See DIY post here) to the informal dining room space off of the kitchen so you don’t really see much of the Temperate Taupe anymore, but it does look great against the white cabinets and white accent wall.
Zircon

Our bathrooms are definitely the smaller spaces in our home so I knew I wanted a very light color in these spaces to keep everything feeling not so tiny. I chose Zircon from Sherwin Williams:
Knitting Needles

Knitting Needles by Sherwin Williams is a bit darker than Zircon. This color definitely has a cool tone to it and is a fairly light color. I love how calming and versatile it is so I put it in our Master Bedroom!

Polished Concrete

For our guest room I wanted to go a little out of my comfort zone and choose a darker color. I landed on this beautiful color called Polished Concrete. It almost has a slight purple tone to is depending on the lighting and is a perfect accent to our white trim work.

Most every paint store can color match any color so if you like getting your paint in another brand, bring the Sherwin Williams swatch in and BOOM they can match the color exactly.
After painting so much in our home I definitely had the opportunity to figure out my favorite painting supplies. These items below are highly recommended by me if you plan to do any painting in the future:

Well I hope my posts can help!
I like your content. It is really awesome.
Great color picks!
Hi – I came across your post as I love Zircon. I’m looking to update the paint in my home. Have you ever seen Zircon being used in a living room space rather than smaller rooms? I was debating between Zircon and Repose Gray but have realized that my home tends towards greens after painting my kitchen Mindful Gray and it looking green in the day (which I’m not loving!). My floors are honey oak wood, so that’s why the paint looks green I’m guessing?
