One of the most common questions I get from my followers, friends, and family is what paint color would I recommend for their interior walls. Gray walls are ALL the rage lately and I am definitely loving that trend. David and I are Sherwin Williams people. We love the quality of their paint, the customer service, the sales they have, and the convenience of their locations to us. So below I have compiled a list of my favorite gray wall colors at Sherwin Williams.
Zircon (SW 7667)
Zircon is probably my favorite gray color from Sherwin Williams. This gray color has a cooler side to it. I don’t recommend this color for houses with trim/woodwork that has an orange or yellow based stain. This color is best for houses with white trim/woodwork like mine. I used this color in my powder room and upstairs bathroom.
Knitting Needles (SW 7672)
I used this gray color in our master bedroom. I don’t have any pictures of our master bedroom yet so below is an image of Julie Blanner’s beautiful bathroom using Knitting Needles. This color is a little darker gray than Z
Repose Gray (SW 7015)
Repose Gray is a warmer gray and would look great with homes trimmed in the yellow or orange based stains, but also looks fabulous with homes trimmed in white:) Plus this paint color is all over Pinterest so you know it’s a good one!

Mindful Gray (SW 7016)
Mindful gray is one shade darker than Repose Gray. So if you are the type of person that is scared of light colored walls, try this color! Mindful Gray is another great gray color for a home trimmed in yellow or orange based stains.
These are my go-to gray colors and all of them are beautiful, neutral and modern. I hope this helps you plan for your next painting projects 🙂

Need suggestions. We are working on our new home. Our kitchen cabinets are passive and island cabinets are peppercorn. Could you please suggest what color to select for walls.
I love those colors! I would maybe suggest Gray Matters or Nebulous white. I would test out a few colors on the wall next to each of your selected colors and see what you like. Good luck!

Thanks for suggesting Gray Matters and Nebulous White. We will give them a try. Based on the color book Gray Matters looks little dark and Nebulous White is light. Could you please also suggest a color in between. Appreciate your help.
Argos is a little lighter than Gray Matters but on the same shade scale. Have fun 🙂

My walls are site white and am looking for a light to medium gray for my cabinet color. Trim is extra white. Need recommendation. My granite is steel gray. I know dark granite is not the trend, but my husband somehow does not see droplets of red wine that he leaves on the counter. I’m tired of worrying and fussing about it…..ergo the dark countertops.

We have had dark colors like expresso in our house for over 10 years but now with three little boys, I am trying to create a more relaxing and open feeling environment in our home so I want to go with light colors.
I need to pick colors for our kitchen cabinets, walls, doors and trims this week!
I love gray but I have had the most difficult time choosing colors that will go well together after learning of the undertones that grays have.
Our kitchen countertops are beige with very tiny dots of gray (almost nonvisible) and our floors are white.
I was thinking March Wind for the kitchen cabinets and Zircon for the walls and High Reflective White for the doors and trims. Do you think that will work or can you suggest a different color for the kitchen cabinets or any other part? Please help!
Please help. I am using SW Cyberspace on the front door and black roof. What Sherwin William gray would like best on painted brick? What color should I paint the trim and garage door? I can’t use any shadow of white or cream paint on my brick. Thank you for help.
Renda, I would say use a few shades lighter than cyberspace so the colors are still in the same tone but different in shade. Maybe Gray Sheen or Zircon is one of my favorite lighter gray colors!
Thank you for getting back to me. Here is an update. We are building a west facing home and love the clean modern farmhouse look. Need help with the exterior all brick body, trim, gutters, and garage paint colors. We have to use Sherwin Williams Paint. We will be using Cyberspace on the front door, black roof, and black windows for sure. I love the look of white with black windows but our neighbor’s home is white. We have been looking to use one of the fellowing for the body with a white trim…..SW Online, SW Gray Screen, Light French Gray, or SW Argos. Can you please provide us with a color combination that could work well together? Thank you so much.
